The soul of the sea sings with the spirit of sky. The two voices are heard in circulatory exchange of elemental forces, between air and water, O2 and H2O. which account for life on the blue-green planet, Earth, in the galaxy of the Milky Way.
II. The Water Dragon of Cascade Falls
Waterfalls are geographical places of transition and power, where major changes are experienced. I once had a singular dream that demonstrated the truth monent of the waterfall, which I will call "The Abyss."
I entered a national park where two great grey slates formed the borders of a powerful river, like the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. One was advised by the park rangers not to enter the river because it was deceptive, with "sleeper waves." I rappeled down the rock face to the river, which was calm on the shores but not the middle.
I respected the discouragement of the park service but could not help entering the river ankle-deep. Shockingly, the river was like "mother's milk," not a dangerous abyss. I felt calm, soothed, to where I layed down in the river's shallow current, at peace in my heart, in a fetal position. I trusted the waters. I had no reson to fear.
Suddenly, I was navigating the river. Before too long, I heard the rush of the waterfall ahead. I was not afraid, even in the rocks and current-switches. We were going over, for better or worse!
The tail of Ursa Minor, or True North, celestially reflects the bearing of the earth in its tilt toward the polar star. Circumpolar the stars, the skies seem to rotate around Polaris, but the revolutions reflect the turns of the earth from day to night to day as stars do not move. Our sun is a star, like the North Star, our present bearing in space.
